Is the Crosman Phantom 500x whats known as a 'full power' rifle in the UK, as in 12 ft ibs?
hi allBasically i am pretty new to the hole air gun thing, i have done quite alot of research and no a little about what i want. Today i got some money together, 200 in all, and went over to my local gun shop to see what they could offer me.I was looking for a springer, with scope, and DEFINATELY full power, as in 12ft ibs. They presented me with a crosman phantom. After a little playing around in the shop i agreed to buy for 180 with 4X32 scope and mounts. They also took it away for a few mins a said they would zero the sight for me.When i arrived home i headed straight out into the fields and started me first hunt. I saw about 6 or 7 rabbits, all around the 20yards range, and took clean shots at what i thought to be straight at there heads. NONE OF THEM WERE KILLED....they all flinched and ran off I was starting to wonder what was going on, after all, this was sposed to be a very powerful rifle and it wasnt killing nothing Even my friend, who has a crappy DB4 underlever was killing them with head shots, but i had nothing...So i came home and did abit of research. At first i was wondering weather i just needed to 'ware it in' as such..?And then i realised that there was 2 models of the phantom, being the phantom 500x and the phantom 1000x, with the 1000x being the more powerfull 'full power rifle'It then clicked to me that with my rifle that i purchased being .22 cal, and the 1000x only being available in .177, i must of been sold the 500x... And to top it off, after looking on the internet, you can get a 1000x with a scope for 150... 30 cheaper than what i paid for my weaker rifle... It cant believe the cheek So basically i would just like to no, before i ring up the shop and tell the owner how i feel, weather the crosman 500x is a full power, 12ft ibs rifle?????? And if it is what are the best pellets??And will i need to ware it in before i get the full potential???Thanks for listening

Running a half-marathon tomorrow and dealing with IBS?
Hello Folks I have been under more stress lately raising daughter by myself, high stress job, etc. and have been having digestion issues. Mostly bloating, cramping and going to the bathroom often. I have always seemed to have these issues to some degree, but they have been acting up pretty bad the last month or so. I am an athlete, so my diet is pretty good. I have never checked out any food allergies. I think that I am dealing with Irritable Bowel Sydrome more than anything more serious. I will probably see someone to confirm that. I am running a half marathon tomorrow and very concerned. I have had difficultly making it through a training run of 5 miles without nasty cramping and having to go to the bathroom and I can't imagine having to run another 8 miles in that condition without having to address those 'issues' while on the course. I did a 10 miler a couple of weeks ago and barely made it through without having to stop, but I have been feeling worse since then. Eating a small snack such as a granola or fruit bar makes me feel bloated and cramped. Does anyone know of any quick fixes to get through this race? Bananas have seemed to give me a bit of trouble pre race in the past, but it seems that anything I eat makes me feel bloated. Has anyone had experience with this? What are some ways to get rid of this bloating and cramping feeling by tomorrow? I was hoping to break 1 50, but seriously doubt it in this condition. It may be an ugly day tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any advice. Thanks for the advice. I tried that Imodium Advanced the day before and seemed to get the cramping out. My body reacted pretty well to it and took one with a small meal about 4 hours before. I still felt a little 'bloated' but no cramping or urges. I know this needs to get addressed by a professional at some point in time, but it was a great quick fix. I ended up running a 1 43 my best time since college I think the weather and familiarity with the course helped me out. Thanks so much for the information
